Many of the walls are decorated with trompe-l’oeil murals, upon which, many of the artists paintings and drawings are displayed. The Home-Museum is open to the public by appointment, and from 4 PM to 6 PM, the Sunday of the third week of each month, except June, November, December, January, and February.

Teaching career

The artist began teaching at age eighteen, as an occasional substitute for his ASL instructor. Since then, he has taught thousand of students, over a period of many years, first privately, and subsequently, at the Art Student League and the New York Academy. In 1987 he created his own art school of painting and drawing in Les Cerqueux, L’Ecole Albert Defois, ( a former mayor) which attracts students internationally. A free color brochure is available from the artist.
